How does BRL support and work with technology start-ups?

Robotics is an emerging sector with huge potential for the UK, identified by Government as one of 'eight great technologies' that will drive our economy. The Bristol Robotics Laboratory plays a leading role in supporting ideas and talent development; the start-up and growth of technology SME's and the take-up of their products and services by the wider market - all critical to achieving this potential.

Our Technology Business Incubator is a visionary pilot program to stimulate and support technology start-ups. It works with a full sample of undergraduate, graduate, post-graduates, staff and partner spinout businesses; ensures that we have an up-to-date and detailed understanding of technology start-up needs and enhances the BRL's creative and entrepreneurial culture. It provides valuable input to our taught courses, research and research exploitation.
